Rajgad Dnyanpeeth was established in 1972, by Honorable Shri. Anantraoji Thopte with mission of “Prajvalito Dnyanmaya Pradeep” which means Enlighten the lamp of knowledge and wisdom among students. Rajgad dnyanpeeth started with objective of bringing intellectual awakening & transformation in educational, economic, cultural & social fields in the state of Maharashtra. He is renowned politician, worked as a Cabinet Minister in Government of Maharashtra, for almost 13 years. At the time of ministerial status he was handling Education, Dairy technology, Agriculture, Rehabilitation etc.
